Game Story

  • You play as Kameo daughter of King Solon and Queen Theena.
  • Queen Theena bestows the Element of Power to Kameo, which allows Kameo to transform into the Elemental Warriors.
  • Kameo has an older sister Kalus who is jealous that Kameo was given the Element of Power and not her.Kameo_01
  • Kalus in an angered state releases Thorn (King of Trolls) and ignites a past feud between elves and trolls.
  • Kalus and Thorn kidnap the Ancestors (Lenya, Halis and Yeros) in order to retrieve the Elemental Warriors they hold.
  • Elemental Warriors have also been captured by Shadow Trolls and Kameo must rescue them.
  • Kameo is sent by The Mystic to find the Elemental Warriors so that she can rescue the Ancestors and defeat Thorn.

Gameplay

  • Kameo must rescue all ten Elemental Warriors to help her defeat Thorn.
  • Elemental Warriors are held by Shadow Trolls that you must defeat.
  • Shadow Troll battles are pretty much the same each time so once you defeat one you know how to defeat them all.
  • Each Elemental Warrior that Kameo can transform into has their own unique abilities that help Kameo progress through the game.
    • Pummel Weed – A Venus Fly Trap looking plant that uses boxing techniques to knockout enemies.
    • Rubble – A pile of rocks the can be used to throw at his enemies.
    • Ash – A Dragon that uses his fiery breath to burn enemies.
    • Deep Blue – An Octopus like creature that uses two of his tenticles as water blasters.
    • Major Ruin – An armadillo like creature that uses his round body to roll around and charge enemies.
    • 40 Below – A rolling snow monster that uses his icy breath to freeze enemies. Kameo_02
    • Snare – Another Venus Fly Trap looking plant that uses powerful jaws to catch enemies.
    • Chilla – Cross between a Gorilla and Abominable Snowman, he fires ice spears at enemies.
    • Flex – Another Octopus like creature that uses his long tentacles to hit and grab enemies.
    • Thermite – A small bug creature with a large lava launcher that he can shoot at enemies.
  • You’ll find yourself using some Elemental Warriors more frequently than others because of their useful abilities.
    • Unfortunately each Elemental Warrior also has its own set of controls, and there isn’t a lot of consistency between those character’s controls.
  • Deep Blue had the worst controls of all the Elemental Warriors.
    • The cameras and controls for the water level were very anti-intuitive and frustrating.
  • During the game there are different collectible items that will enhance gameplay.
    • Hearts – Usually found at a spot where a Troll has been killed these restore energy.
    • Runes – Common currency among tribes, allows Kameo to purchase items and Alternative Warrior skins.
    • Elixir of Life – One of the Mystics potions that increases Kameo’s energy bar.
    • Elemental Fruit – Considered an Elfin delicacy these allow you to increase or add Elemental Warrior abilities.
    • Crystal Eyes – These powerful relics allow Kameo to boost her combat abilities.
  • Elemental Fruit are hidden throughout the lands and some are available for purchase in the store of each land.
  • Throughout the journey, Kameo uses the Wotnot Book (accessed by the start button).
    • Front Cover – Ortho who is a wizard trapped in the book will give tips and information to help Kameo if she is struggling.
    • Warrior Page – Has a place for Elemental Warriors and they will appear there as Kameo rescues them.
      • As you collect Elemental Fruit you can also use this page to add or increase abilities to your Elemental Warriors.
    • Status Page - Contains a summary of items.  (Crystal Eyes, Elemental Fruit, Elixir of Life and Ancestors you have rescued.
  • The B, X and Y buttons are used to morph Elemental Warriors during gameplay. kameo_03
  • You can either assign the Elemental Warriors using the Warrior Page in the Wotnot Book or you can hold down one of the buttons and select the Elemental Warrior from the Warrior Wheel.
  • The ability to select a warrior from the Warrior Wheel is very helpful during combat when you need to make a quick switch.
  • The A button is reserved for Kameo so that you can morph back into when needed.
  • Kameo must go to many different lands to rescue the Ancestors and Elemental Warriors.
    • Enchanted Kingdom – Floats high above the Badlands and supported by the Elemental Shrines.  This is the home of Kameo and her family.
    • Badlands – Home to the Elemental Shrines (Water, Fire and Forest) it allows access to the other lands.
    • Mountain Falls – North in the badlands this area contains the Water Temple.
    • Snow Village – West in the badlands this area contains the Snow Temple.
    • Forgotten Forest – East in the badlands this area contains the Forest Temple.
    • Thorn’s Castle – South in the badlands this area is Kameo’s final stop.
  • Once the Boss Battle is completed in each land a warp opens for easy travel back to the Enchanted Kingdom.
