What comes in the box? - Obviously the PSP unit J
- A pair of white ear bud headphones.
- A soft case.
 - An AC adapter.
- A 32-MB Memory Stick Duo card
- A rechargeable lithium battery
- A grey cloth to wipe the screen.
- A remote control for controlling music and video.
- A thin leather white strap for carrying your PSP around.
- Spider-Man 2 (the movie) on UMD (first one million units only).
- A sampler disc containing music videos, movie clips and game previews
- I LOVE getting sampler discs! … NOT!
What should have come in the box? - A mini-B type cable.
- A mini-B type cable is required if you want to move digital photos, music and short movies to the memory card of the PSP.
- Of course if already have a camera that uses a USB min-B type cable or some other drive in your pc that supports the memory stick duo then you might not need one.
- A game. A new system should always include a free game. At $249 you can’t really do much with the PSP. (Except load music and video clips).
- So the system really costs around $300 after buying a game to go with the system.
PSP Pros - The unit looks incredibly cool.
- Even the analog control stick feels better than I thought it would.
- The 16X9 screen is awesome.
- The picture quality is better than most TV’s.
- The game graphics are smooth, beautiful and are just a tad below PS2 quality.
- The sound has five different settings when used with headphones
- Heavy – Strengthens bass and treble for an intense sound.
- Pops – Strengthens mid-range.
- Jazz – Strengthens bass and treble for a balanced sound.
- Unique – Strengthens bass, mid-range and treble.
- None – The default sound with no headphones plugged in.
- Wireless connections very easy to set up.
- Uses Adhoc mode to connect to other nearby PSP’s
- Uses Infrastructure mode to connect to a wireless network.
- The screen is awesome!
 - Four levels of brightness display.
- 1-3 can be used without the AC adapter.
- The brightest level 4, can only be used when hooked up with the AC adapter.
- I found level 1 to be a little to dark, but 2 was sufficient.
- I like the UMD.
- It’s basically a small DVD inside of a plastic case.
- It feels more durable than regular CD/DVD’s and therefore, I expect the discs to suffer fewer scratches from abuse.
- This doesn’t make it impossible to scratch, but does give the disc a little more protection.
- Being able to play Mpeg-4 videos, MP3’s, and show jpeg slideshows off a Memory Stick Duo.
- 15 titles on the day of launch, and another 10 to be released in the next couple weeks.
- Did I mention that the 16X9 screen is freaking awesome?!
