- You must complete the given objectives in order to pass the challenge.
Gameplay - The majority of the gameplay comes from the Career Mode.
- You are forced to start the dirt track ranks of the “Weekly Series”.
- Fight for winnings up to $10,000 in small towns.
- Start with no sponsors and the lowest quality car parts.
- Eventually you will get sponsor offers that you will earn you additional money over your race winnings.
- Use your winnings to buy better quality car parts:
 - Engines
- Suspension
- Aerodynamics
- Exhaust system
- Win to earn offers to compete in more lucrative divisions
- Featherlite
- Craftsman Truck
- Winston Cup
- Dirt to Daytona offers a surprising amount of customization options for your race car.
- Adjust the front, left, right or rear weight of the car.
- Add or remove wedge.
- Adjust the springs.
- Adjust the shocks.
- Change the left or right side camber angles.
- Change the sway bar.
- Adjust the break bias.
- Increase or decrease the spoiler angle.
- Change the amount of grill tape on your car.
- Set your tire pressures.
- Adjust your gear ratio.
- While tuning your car is fun and can help you squeeze every second out of your car. It’s not entirely necessary.
- If you are patient and want to race more races before winning, you can earn enough money to buy better parts.
- Eventually these better parts will be good enough for you to win with without any tinkering.
- So the decision to play with the car’s settings is entirely up to the player and how soon he wants to win races.
- In each division, the cars handle differently.
- On the dirt tracks, you’ll get a good feeling for drift racing as you slide your car around corners.
- Loosing what little traction you have in this division might leave you facing the wrong direction.
- The featherlite series allows you to finally grip some pavement.
 - The racing here doesn’t seem that difficult as loosing grip on the corners might slow you down, but probably won’t make you wreck.
- Also, damage doesn’t hurt you as much in this division.
- Adding better car parts will help these cars the most.
- In the Craftsman Truck series, you start to get the sensation of speed.
- On the larger tracks you’ll also have to start using the draft.
- The Winston Cup is the ultimate test.
- You’ll really feel like you have some power under the car.
- Drafting is essential for the super speedways.
- Damage affects the handling the most in this series.
- Throughout all game modes, you will earn points which you can use to unlock hidden features.
- Unlock miniature cars
- Monster Trucks
- Extreme Drafting
- Overly Aggressive AI
- And more
- The opponent AI is ok, but there seem to be far too few wrecks caused by the AI.
- You will however, see a lot of bumping and grinding, and after a while these minor skirmishes will thin out the pack.
- But if you’re hoping for a caution, then you might have to wait for a while, unless you cause it yourself.
