Game Modes

  • Play Now
    • This mode is for exhibition matches between any of the legends or any created characters.
    • You can fight boxers across the different divisions.
    • Two players can go head to head in six different divisions:

Featherweight

Middleweight

Lightweight

Light Heavyweight

Welterweight

Heavyweight

 

    • A lot of all time great boxers are playable:

    • Some boxers like Mike Tyson, George Forman and Julio Cesar Chavez are notably missing.
    • While the game does contain a good number of great boxers, there are plenty more that EA could have added.
    • Some of the boxers like Holyfield and Roy Jones Jr., show up in more than one weight class.
      • You can pit the Light Heavyweight Evander Holyfield against the Heavyweight Holyfield and see who is better.
  • Create a Champ
    • Before you start your own career, you will be able to create and customize your own fighter.
    • You’ll be able to customize the following items:

Name

Foul Protector

Nickname

Shoes

Hometown

Tattoos (chest, arms, back)

Skin tone

Stance (orthodox/southpaw)

Muscle Mass

Trunks

Height

Gloves

Mouthguards

 

 

    • You will also be able to extensively customize the look of your boxer.
      • Using a slider feature, you’ll be able to change the contortion of various facial features like
        • Eyebrows
        • Head shape
        • Hair style
        • Ear shape
        • And more…
  • Play online
    • Of course you can take your created boxer online and fight friends across the country.
  • Career Mode
    • This is the main mode for the single player experience.
    • Take your created character through years of matches until you are too old and feeble to continue.
  • Hard Hits
    • In this mode you fight 15 untimed rounds. FightNightRnd2_02
    • Each round will end when there is a knockdown.
    • The winner of the fight is whoever scores the most knockdowns, or gets the knockout.
  • My Gym
    • This mode serves as practice for the training mini games that you can play in career mode.
    • There is also additional “sparring” mode which serves as a nice tutorial to learning the controls.
  • My Corner
    • Here you can change various options about gameplay.
      • Turn on/off the cutman.
      • Turn on/off the KO moment.
      • Turn on/off the 3 knockdown rule.
      • Turn on/off illegal blows.
      • Adjust the round length.
      • Adjust the difficulty of the AI .
      • Choose from 6 different controller configurations.
      • And more…
    • You can also view the Boxing Hall of Fame.
    • You can view the Record Book
    • Turn on or off any of the EA Trax.
